World Suicide Prevention Day

The World Health Organisation (WHO) released statistics yesterday that show every 40 seconds someone dies by suicide. Their global report shows what a burning issue suicide is across the world, as the second leading cause of death among young people aged 15-29 years.

Today, on World Suicide Prevention Day, WHO and others offer a message of hope by demonstrating that suicide is preventable. The global mental health community is coming together to encourage action through #40seconds.
